Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom

I have come to realize that one of the main things that amps up the scariness of dinosaurs is rain.  Yes, you heard that right, rain!  The climatic scene in the newest Jurassic entry again included rain.  Potentially that is just me noticing something random but it does seem to be a continuous theme played out in all of the Jurassic movies.

Anyways back to my review!  I have to admit that it is a good thing I love seeing dinosaurs on screen otherwise it would be too blatantly obvious that Fallen Kingdom was essentially the same movie as Jurassic Park: Lost World.  The advantage I had going into seeing this movie is that I was kind of expecting that.  A new hybrid dinosaur, moving existing ones off an island and onto land with humans, and dinos escaping.  I also just naturally find myself entertained during Jurassic movies and the best scene overall was when the islands volcano exploded.  It provided great action and stunning visuals regardless of the fact that they were CGI.

Chris Pratt stole the show as far as characters are involved.  Potentially this is a knock but he is the only character whose name, Owen,  I can actually remember.  Pratt’s scenes with the raptor, Blue, are a top my list of best scenes of the movie if anything because they remind me a dog and his owner.

Overall I enjoyed Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom but I must admit the first/fourth were clearly better.  The movie is receiving 5.4 buckets of popcorn and can be seen on FX in a year or so!
